Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The University of Delaware cross country program battled through humid weather conditions, and earned a 19th place finish at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh, on Friday.

Delaware travels to Charlottesville, Virginia to compete in the Panorama Farms Invitational on Friday, October 16.
RESULTS
- Julia Flanagan was the Fightin' Blue Hens top finisher. She placed 54th overall at 21:41.80. This was the best finish by a freshman runner in program history, and second highest finish all-time at Paul Short.
- Behind Flanagan was Erin McGoey, who finished 99th overall at 22:09.70, and Claire Duferene in 122nd place at 22:21.30.
- Rounding out the top five was Leah Clear and Beata Wrigstand. They finished 135th with a time of 22:30.10 and 139th at 22:32.40, respectively.Â
- Other Blue Hens who competed included Annika Leineweber (216th, 23:10.10), Kadence Dumas (226th, 23:17.30), Reese Ragland (244th, 23:40.30), Ella Peterson (275th 24:12.90), and Riley Fayer (313th, 26:34.00).
