Football Welcomes CB Shawn Church Jr.

NEWARK, Del – University of Delaware football will welcome CB Shawn Church Jr., head coach Ryan Carty announced Tuesday. Church will join the Fightin' Blue Hens as a mid-year enrollee this spring.
The 6-3, 190-pound cornerback is a three-star recruit and is the third-highest-rated recruit in program history, according to 247sports.com. The Virginia Beach, Va. native graduated from Green Run High School after lettering four seasons in football. The two-time regional champion accounted for 52 tackles, 22 PBUs, 5 interceptions, 4.0 TFLs, and one forced fumble over the course of his career.
Born in Virginia Beach, Va., he is the son of Monique Smith and Shawn Church and has three siblings. An honor roll student in high school, he intends to major in marketing at UD.
