Gruber, Cross Country Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – University of Delaware cross country team and athlete Marie-Theres Gruber received all-academic honors U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA).
Theres-Gruber was named an all-academic Division I women's cross country athlete by the organization. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
The Sankt Koloman, Austria had a historic 2025 season. She broke the program record in the 6K (19:56.50), finished second at the CUSA Championships, and placed 21st overall at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet, earning all-region honors in the process.
As a team, the Fightin' Blue Hens earned All-Academic team honors by the organization. In order to qualify for the academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
The Blue Hens earned a team GPA of 3.57 in the fall.
