Men's Tennis' Lock and Mackenzie Receive No. 77 Rank in Latest ITA Doubles Poll

TEMPE, Ariz. – University of Delaware men's tennis' Tobey Lock and Euan Mackenzie earned the No. 77 spot in the latest ITA National Doubles Rankings, the organization announced Wednesday.
This is the duo's second-consecutive ranking cycle where they reached top-90 status, after becoming the first two athletes in program history to earn the laurel back in the fall rankings.
In the fall, Lock and Mackenzie went 7-1 as a duo, winning the ITA Northeast Regionals and becoming the first doubles pair in program history to reach the NCAA Tournament. They rank second in program history with 44 wins as partners.
The ITA ranks the top 90 doubles pairs based on a comprehensive evaluation of performance and competition level. Rankings consider a player's win-loss record, with greater emphasis on victories over higher-ranked opponents.
Strength of schedule is also a key factor, as wins against top-tier players carry more weight than those against unranked competitors. Additionally, head-to-head results play a significant role, ensuring that direct matchups between ranked players impact the standings.
The doubles pair recorded wins over No. 75 Sebastian Sec and Meecah Bigun of Princeton in the quarterfinals and No. 87 Vojtech Vales and Shaurya Bharadwaj of Penn in the finals at the ITA Northeast Regional event.
