Track & Field Competes at Scarlet Knight Open

NEW YORK - The University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens track & field team traveled to The Big Apple to compete in the Scarlet Knight Open on Friday.
RESULTS
- The Blue Hens earned the top three places in the pentathlon. Sara Manson won with 3260 points. Taylor Stone was second with 3007 points and Emily Brown was third with 3002 points. Stone's and Brown's score rank ninth and tenth all-time.
- Rachel Kuehl was the winner in the long jump at 5.75 meters. The jump is a new personal best and is tied for the fourth-best in program history.
- Olamide Ayeni finished second in the shot put at 14.53 meters.
- Leah Clear finished second overall in the one mile at 4:56.98.
- Catherine Richards was fifth in the 1,000-meters at 3:02.80. She also won her heat in the one mile with a time of 5:08.09.
- Ella Peterson was sixth overall in the 3,000-meters at 10:11.86
- Sophia Axelrod earned a new personal record in the weight throw at 16.13 meters and earned a seventh place finish.
- Jordan Blanck was 10th in the 600-meters at 1:40.30.
- The top Blue Hens finishers in the 60-meters was Eva Denis (7.84 seconds), Marleigh Lucas in the 200-meters (25.96 seconds) and Mackenzie Owens in the 400-meters (1:02.86).

The Blue Hens travel to Boston, Massachusetts to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday and Saturday February 13-14.
